Some more photos (if I can figure it out how to do this-again)

Wonderful artifacts from the Olmec time period here.  The National Museum of Antropology and History is remarkable and worth seeing.

Our little group of adventures--The Beechers, Janet Call, and Nola in front of this remarkable 8 museums in one!

The huge calendar stone from the Mayan era.  This is the real thing.

This is not your ordinary museum.

Hoping this might come through as a video.   This four men are slowly descending due to their four ropes slowly unwinding to Indian flute music.

New activities in Mexico

Every week new missionaries arrive, and we shuffle the luggage before they trudge off to their apartments.
A fun landscaped tree. Note the little Pooh
bear climbing the ladder.  The next photo is of the studio of famous Mexican artist and independent woman Frida Kahlo.

Elders walking to their homes for the next 6 weeks, dragging their bags.    We really love the experience here.  A grand adventure.  I drove downtown to the American Embassy this week with just Nola.  A real adventure. She kept me from getting lost (repeatedly).

A few more photos from our July at the CCM.

Probably hard to see but there in the middle is our distinguished psychologist flying superman style on a zip line.  Nola did it too and had a fun time.

Here is our group at the mountain mining village.  The Zepedas, Torres', Beechers, and Harstons.   A lovely day.

Here is our refridgerator with photos we look at every day.  We miss our family.  We love photos!

A fun bed room at the Zepeda's.  Sylvia is very artistic.   The home was immaculate.

Our beautiful MTC (CCM)

A busy couple of weeks

We are getting busier and busier, especially with a recent outbreak of an infectious malady.  79 of 485 missionaries were suddenly calling and needing
attention.   The crisis has passed (GI symptoms) with only one going to the ER and only about 5 needing IV rehydration.  But some middle of the night visits to homes and apartments.   Here are some photos taken recently, including the MTC and visits to very fun pueblos and historical sites.  The fountain is in Coyoacan.   Near the home of artist Frida Kahlo.   Let's see if I can attach more.

In the mountain mining village of Real del Monte.

Wonderful tasty food.   Yes, those are empanadas.

Downtown Mexico City is impressive.    Huge!

This was our dinner at the "Comedor" here on the fourth of July.   All American burger and corn on the cob.   The pie was great!

A visit to a friend's home in Pachuca, Mexico.   Beautiful home of Carlos and Sylvia Zepeda.   Wonderful people.

Yours truly, in an alternate life.

Back on line

For some reason I have been shut out of updating the blog.   It took Nola to show me that for some things I am clueless.  So I am back on line.  Let's see if I can attach a photo or two.   We are continuing to enjoy Mexico City and our assignment here.    Here is Nola in a fun tricycle taxi we sure enjoyed after a day of walking around downtown Mexico City.  Lots to see here.
 Beautiful parks.

Our kitchen.   The bananas are great with Nutella!

Our bedroom.   Can't see the occasional mosquito.

My 100 yard walk to the clinic.
  The tricycle taxi we loved.
